Santa's Castle Referral Process!!!
Referrals are based on financial need, for example, "no pay due" during September-December or the death/illness of an immediate family member. Servicemembers (E-4 and below) experiencing financial crisis, with children 17 years or younger are eligible.
All other ranks will be considered on a case by case basis!
The Servicemember's Chain of Command (1SGT or above) must attend a unit brief to explain the process of the Santa's Castle program and then will receive the referral forms. This form must be completed by both the servicemember and Chain of Command. There are no self-referrals, and self-referrals will not be accepted. Only those servicemembers who qualify for the Santa's Castle program will receive an appointment letter stating their date and time.
After a short review and verification of the referral form, appointments are scheduled for the servicemember and/or spouse to visit Santa's Castle and select toys for their children during the toy distribution time. The servicemember is required to confirm their appointment date and time via email to Scheduling@jblmsantascastle.org. Due to the large amount of emails that Santa's Castle receives during this time of year, the servicemember will not receive a response from the Castle unless there are questions from the Santa's Castle staff.
